Please note: The entrance channel to Great Kills is well marked but shoaling is possible, so vessels with 6’+draft should consider transiting slowly and at mid tide rising (which would be 11 AM +)

About Richmond Yacht Club:
Richmond County Yacht Club offers first-come moorings with launch service. (contact on Channel 9 upon entry to GK) @ $55 per night and right next door is Mansion Marina with slips @ $2 per foot.

Your fleet captain Marc Kornutik (S/V No Doubt) has spoken with both locations and will advise them in advance of our numbers once they are know. Although there is limited room it is also possible to anchor, though be advised water depths are 15 to 20 feet in this relatively small area.
An early departure from LLM between 8 & 9 AM is suggested for speed challenge vessels (you know who you are 😜) to take advantage of an ebb tide. A later departure of 1100+ will encounter an adverse current at the Verrazano and lower bay.
My recommended departure for return to LLM is 4 PM on Sunday if you prefer a fair tide. Otherwise anytime 12 PM would be fine if your draft allows.
12 kts = 1.25 hours
8 kts = -2 hours
6 kts = 2.5+ hours
4 kts = 3.75 hours.
