Club Rendezvous

Two exuberant crews set out from Liberty Landing and Great Kills for a weekend of fun in the Long Island Sound. Winds were light and weather was perfect for a cruise up the East River.

Midday entrance to the East River provided stunning views of the city and the excitement surrounding the Fourth of July celebrations. SV Sea Gazer II (members: Ed Guy & Cristina Hubbell) and SV Xarifa (members: Rosetta & Sal Palmeri with crew Kathrin Henkel and Lahar Pasad and gust Yara) arrived in Oyster Bay in time for cocktails and aperitivo before heading into town for dinner at Wild Honey. After a delicious dinner including refreshing cocktails and salads, local oysters, clams and various seafood, the group headed back to Xarifa for a nightcap, fireworks and birthday celebrations.

S/V No Doubt- Capt Marc & Commodore Caroline will be in Atlantic Highlands overnight. We depart Saturday morning around 9:30 a.m.. if you’re around Saturday night, give us a shout. Maybe we can meet up or get breakfast on Sunday.

S/V No doubt is doing a trip into Long Island sound the week of July 4th. 1st stop Port Washington. We plan to stop in North-port, possibly Oyster bay / Cold Spring Harbor and at least one port call in Conneticut. Reach out to Marc or Caroline if interested in joining or meeting up along the way.

Beth, Paul and Dory will be headed to the Long Island Sound on Full Circle on Wednesday 8/30, returning Monday 9/4.

We plan to stop at Larchmont YC on Wednesday, then head to Port Jefferson for 2 nights, then probably to Norwalk - end of trip tbd. Let us know if you are in the area and maybe we can get together for happy hour or dinner.
