Liberty Yacht Club, originally launched in March of 1998 as a non-profit organization, is located in Morris Canal directly across the Hudson River from Manhattan’s World Financial Center. Our location is ideally situated to enjoy the benefits of Liberty State Park, the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and of course the magical and wonderful views of the Manhattan skyline. We are truly at the cross waterways of the world, as we see so many sailors and boaters, from around the world, sail through our neighborhood.

Our mission is to encourage and promote sailing, motor boating,   seamanship, and community in the lower Hudson River and greater New York Harbor area, in line with our motto, Friendship, Seamanship and Time Well Spent. We are a yacht club in the truest sense, in that we are the only non-profit yacht club in NY Harbor waters. Every member has an opportunity to become an officer if they wish, and we have reciprocity with other clubs from Raritan Bay to St. Croix! 

With the goal of being a place where sailors and boaters can enjoy a feeling of camaraderie or esprit de corps, we host weekly and annual regattas and cruises, fun and educational events and fantastic parties!
