Port Washington became Atlantic Highlands !
(Sadly , PLAN “A“ DIDN’T WORK OUT… 😔)
Well, last minute we all decided getting past the UN wasn’t worth the hassle and ended up heading south instead and joined a few other LLM boats, ending up with a total of 6 boats including 3 LYC member vessels !
Although the current was now going to be against us going down, the winds were mild and turned into an absolutely stunning day once anchored up on Saturday. On Sunday for our return the wind piped up at around 6 AM and continued to blow from NW at 15 to 20+ the entire trip home. Although it was a close reach to a beat… all boats were able to take advantage of the breeze and either sail or motorsail !

Currents & weather are favorable for a single overnight trip. Great departure window this Saturday (25th) btwn 0800/1100 return window of 1400-1600 (2-4+) on Sunday. (26th) As of now look like 2-3 boats planning to p/u town moorings. If you think you'd care to join in please let me know ! Marc //
