2026 Blessing of the Fleet

Good morning everyone, and welcome.

On behalf of Commodore Nitzan Levy, the Flag Officers, and the leadership of Liberty Yacht Club, thank you for joining us as we celebrate the opening of another season on the water.

This year is especially meaningful as we mark ten years of Liberty Yacht Club. For a decade, our club has been built on the values that define us: friendship, seamanship, and time well spent. We have shared races and cruises, victories and lessons, sunsets and storms. Most importantly, we have built a community that continues to grow stronger with every season.

Before we head out onto the harbor today, let us take a moment to offer a blessing for our fleet:

May the waters beneath our keels be kind and the winds in our sails be fair.

May our captains and crews exercise good judgment, patience, and respect for one another.

May every voyage begin with excitement, continue with confidence, and end with a safe return to port.

May our racers find worthy competition and spirited camaraderie.

May our cruisers discover new horizons, peaceful anchorages, and memorable adventures.

May we always remember that the greatest treasure of this club is not our boats, but the friendships we share and the community we have built together.

As we begin our tenth season together, let us celebrate all that Liberty Yacht Club stands for, and look forward to many more years of adventures on the water.
