What: Enjoy living aboard and cruising a luxurious sailboat (monohulls and catamarans under 4 y/o) in the Caribbean sea. Enjoy the company of fellow LYC members, make new friends, lifetime memories, enhance your sailing skills and learn new life skills. And on top of it all - the Caribbean weather - with 75-80F and a nice steady north-easterly breeze (while temperatures back home in the North East will be around 20-30F...).

Flights: Direct flights with United and JetBlue are available daily from EWR to Princess Julianna International Airport (SXM). Flight duration: 4 hours. Prices: $480-$680 (as of June 2022)

The Itinerary

Mardis de Grand Case - Carnival night

The following is a skeleton Itinerary and is subject to changes before and during the trip:

  • Check in day Sat 1/28 – Arrive in Marina del Anse Marcel in St. Martin, check in to the boat and enjoy a dinner at a local restaurant

  • Sun 1/29  – Sail to Orient Bay - the most spectacular beach in St. Martin - the house for kitesurfers, parasailors and nude. In the afternoon we will sail over to Ile Tintamarre where we will anchor for the night

  • Mon 1/30  – Sail to St. Barths - make a snorkeling and lunch stop at Ile Fourchue. Arrive late afternoon to Gustavia. Explore the beautiful St. Barths beaches, restaurants, shopping, hiking 

  • Tue 1/31  – Sail to St. Martin to Grand Case Bay, where we will enjoy the traditional Mardis Gras Carnival happening in town tonight

  • Wed 2/1 - Sail to Anguilla. Spend the day on this gorgeous white sanded island

  • Thursday 2/2 - Sail to Marigot - the capital of the French Side of St. Martin, which features traditional Creole architecture. Spend the night anchored at Marigot Bay

  • Fri 2/3 – Sail towards Frair's bay and stop for lunch and a swim. From there sail back to Anse Marcel - where we will spend the last night in the marina

  • Sat 2/4 - Morning - by 11am - disembark the boat
