Liberty Yacht Club had a wonderful turnout for our first aid course held on the Lightship in Liberty Landing Marina this past week. 10 LYC members are now the proud holders of an American Red Cross First Aid, Basic Life support and Automatic External Defibrillator certificate. All members participated with enthusiasm and asked great questions. One of our attendees stated he appreciated the convenience of the course and got something important checked off his bucket list that was on there too long! Glad we could help. Thanks to Jane our instructor and LYC members Rachel Rhyll and Nitzan Levy for planning the event. This is a very basic course and unfortunately does not cover all possible situations that can occur out on the water. Future more advanced courses may be possible if there is interest.
