Raritan Bay - Keyport YC & Richmond County YC Rendezvous

Join a long weekend cruise, and get to visit 2 different yacht clubs - the Keyport Yacht Club and the Richmond County Yacht Club of Staten Island.

Itinerary:

• Friday 8/19 - Jersey City >> Keyport Yacht Club
• Saturday 8/20 - Key Port Yacht Club >> Richmond County Yacht Club
• Sunday 8/21 - Richmond County Yacht Club >> Jersey City

Keyport is located 20 miles away from LLM - which is only 2 miles futher than Atlantic Highlands. For favorable current conditions, we recommend departing LLM on Friday 8/19 at 5:30pm, which will get you to Key Port at around 8:30-9pm where we plan to spend the first night. Richmond County Yacht Club - a hidden gem nesteled in Great Kills bay in Staten Island. RCYC has incredible new facilities and great members ! 

For those only planning or able to make it to Richmond County YC on Saturday 8/20, the most favoranble conditions would be if you depart as close to 9:00am  (10:30am latest)  to clear the VZ Narrows by 1130 so you don't fight the incoming tide. 

For those who will be coming from Key Port - we recommend to make a passage at around 2pm - arrive on a rising tide at the entrance channel.

For Sunday 8/21 passage - we recommend to depart anytime between 1-3:30pm. 

Please note that both the mooring fields and anchorages are served by the yacht clubs launches, so you can leave your dink home if you wish.
