Vadim Vorobyov is an accomplished ocean/offshore navigator, part-time weather router and former professional sailor with over 34K nautical miles under his belt.  He has participated as navigator in most of the marquee offshore distance races along the East Coast of the US, including the Newport-Bermuda (placing 2nd in the Gibbs Hill Lighthouse Division in 2018), Annapolis-Newport, Vineyard, and Miami-Havana races to name a few.  In his spare time Vadim conducts seminars on marine weather and celestial navigation and holds a commercially-endorsed Yachtmaster (Ocean) certification from the Royal Yachting Association.

Introduction to Marine Weather -- Part 1 - Understanding marine weather is an essential part of planning a passage by boat.  This seminar will introduce the basic concepts of meteorology and oceanography, tools and techniques used for marine weather forecasting, and how to interpret and use marine weather forecasts.
