After racing, racers are invited to join LYC for a social event. Our Wednesday Night Socials are open to Wednesday Night Racers and LYC members. Events are held on the Lightship, on the docks, and in local bars.

About the Event
June 1st - UPDATE -> Social at Surf City
Pre-race: Flotilla to welcome Maiden into NY Harbor
If your boat decides to head out early, please join the welcoming flotilla as Maiden arrives in NY Harbor. Â Boats will meet at 5pm at the G33 buoy, then sail towards G1 north of Governors Island. Race start times are unchanged.Â
Post-race: Â UPDATE -- Social will be at SURF CITY
Because of uncertain weather, we are changing the social to take place at SURF CITY instead of the Lightship.
Stay tuned via Yachtscoring for the Race Committee's communication about racing.

About LYC Wednesday Night Socials:
LYC Wednesday Night Socials are open to Wednesday Night Racers and LYC Members.
Events are held on the Lightship, on the docks, and at local bars. The format will vary throughout the series. For some events LYC will provide a full spread of food and beverages, some will just be light snacks and beverages, others will be a cash bar where you can buy your own drinks/food and for some events we ask you to bring your own and share with fellow racers potluck-style. As always if there is something in particular that you'd like, please feel free to bring your own to the Lightship and docks. Where weather is potentially an issue, we'll tend to choose to go to a local bar.
