The Liberty Cup Regatta is one of the Northeast's most distinctive sailing events, offering competitors the rare opportunity to race in the iconic waters of New York Harbor.
The 15th Annual Liberty Cup Regatta will take place September 19-20, 2026, with multiple races over two exciting days, complemented by shoreside social events that bring together sailors from across the region.
Racing in New York Harbor is unlike anywhere else. Sailors test their skills while navigating powerful tidal currents and sharing the water with ferries, tugboats, barges, commercial vessels, and the occasional cruise ship. The ever-changing conditions create strategic, competitive, and memorable racing.
As part of the regional Best of the Bay series, the Liberty Cup attracts a diverse fleet of racers and cruising sailors from New York, New Jersey, and beyond.
