About the Program
City Sail is a program established by Rev. Trevor Rubingh and Rev. Tony Hinchliff of the New City Kids charitable organization located in Jersey City, NJ. The mission of City Sail is to open the waterways of Jersey City to the children who live here and to harness the power of sailing to help these children develop teamwork and valuable life skills. Role of the Liberty Yacht Club
The Liberty Yacht Club supports City Sail by hosting events to raise money for the program and by facilitating the acquisition of other resources needed. The Club is helping City Sail obtain a donated sailboat from Liberty Landing Marina and a slip at the marina, along with providing guidance for the required maintenance of their new boat. The Club is also looking for sponsors and planning future fundraiser events such as a "Jersey City Mayors Cup" race to assure the continued funding of the program. |
